Join representatives of six traditions of faith, including Sheikh Jamal Rahman and Rev. Don Mackenzie of the Interfaith Amigos, and others for a spirited conversation about faith, what faith means to us as individuals, and how we might better support the needs of our communities through genuine connection and dialog between those of different beliefs and faiths.
Please come and share you own stories of faith, of curiosity and community. Together we will uncover the collective wisdom of our spiritual communities and work to harness the power of our spiritual and personal faiths to help solve some of the most difficult issues facing our communities.

Comment by Joanne Conger on January 21, 2011 at 10:00am Hi, Cynthia - thanks so much. I just now saw your last response when this came through on my email - I regret not responding! I am not a film producer, but have had a work history of theatre and large event production. I am now with the Camp to encourage more opportunities for our communities to engage in the very real work of addressing conflict and crisis in our communities as a united whole. Whether centered around conflict/peace, or Interfaith, or nonprofits that are working hard to solve the most difficult issues of our time. Camp Brotherhood is moving in to a specific leadership position in our compassionate community. I am over the moon that I will have the opportunity to be involved at the level I am involved. There couldn't - in my opinion - be a more critical time to for our communities to jump over polemical issues and get right to the real work - solving the problems we are all facing. Creating harmonious and inclusive communities - learning what each of our communities are concerned about, and responding.
I would love to talk with you more about what you are doing, and how your film can be showcased at a future event. Please feel free to contact me at my personal email: joanne.conger@gmail.com.
Namaste,
Joanne

Comment by Cynthia Lukas on January 15, 2011 at 2:17pm Hi, Joanne,
That sounds great that you are filming these dialogs, Joanne! It will be good to see them.
Are you a film producer? My partner and I are documentary filmmakers in Santa Fe, New Mexico. We are in the midst of completing our documentary about global spirituality, "Globalized Soul." For the past few years we have been filming diverse spiritual leaders, authors and practices. We have footage from India (a vast humanitarian effort blessed by His Holiness the Dalai Lama), Australia (the Parliament of the World's Religions), Morocco (the Festival of Sufi Culture), the Holy Lands (the Jerusalem Peacemakers at an Abrahamic Reunion at an Iftar dinner in Nazareth) and Mexico (UNESCO Universal Forum of Cultures). We have also interviewed indigenous peoples and spiritual authors in the U.S.
"Globalized Soul" will be a celebration of our unity in diversity at this crucial moment for humanity! Maybe we'll show it there someday??? The last time we were in Seattle was to attend the Sacred Activism conference sponsored by Wisdom University a few years ago.
Our previous documentary told the life story of the great Sufi poet, "Rumi Returning," and was shown on PBS. After California cities, the city of Seattle has bought the most of our "Rumi" DVDs, so we know it's a mystically progressive place. . .
Blessings to you,
Cynthia
