This is a specially designed four day express course to meet your fast lifestyle. It is a great class for those of you interested in learning to apply the principles of Ayurvedic lifestyle to optimize your physical, mental and spiritual well being. The course is from 6:30pm - 9:30pm on weekdays and 10am - 5:00pm on weekends. Please register HERE.
Class info: This course teaches you the basics of Ayurveda and how to apply them to cooking. Learn to create balanced meals for your individual needs. Learn to use spices and herbs for healthy digestion and elimination of toxins. This course will help you see the relationship between the foods we eat and the state of our mind and much more! The course will be held over four sessions. Attendance to all four sessions is compulsory. Each session will contain theory, cooking demonstrations, followed by questions and answers. The cooking demonstrations covered in four sessions will be on: Breakfasts, Soups, Vegetables, Salads, Proteins and Sweets and Puddings. The theory sessions will include:
* Introduction to Ayurveda,
* The qualities of the five elements and three doshas, three gunas and food,
* How our system becomes unbalanced,
* the six tastes and;
* the last session will cover steps to good health and include improper food combinations we need to avoid.
About the Teacher:
Elisabeth Jaegar is a special international teacher from the Art of Living International Center in Quebec, Canada who has been instrumental in shaping the Sri Sri Ayurveda Cookery Program. She will be here to share her expertise and vast knowledge on Ayurvedic cooking with all of us.
