CHALLENGE dialogue: Religious Tolerance in an Age of Terrorism
with Fr. William Treacy, co-founder of Camp Brotherhood
Rabbi James Mirel, Sr. Rabbi, Temple B’Nai Torah
Jawad Khaki, President, IMAN
A Rabbi and a Priest met in 1960 and developed a bond that crossed the boundaries of religion, culture and ethnicity. They boldly promoted a public theology through their weekly dialogue during prime time on the contemporary issues of their day, from an interfaith perspective. They put their faith into action by founding Camp Brotherhood to promote unity and harmony within the human family. Today, their legacy is about to make a dramatic leap forward, and you can be part of it.
Camp Brotherhood is rejuvenating its legacy of dialogue and re-branding itself to more fully address the changing challenges of our day. Come and witness its emerging identity and connect with others to imagine the future that together we will co-create. We CAN keep hope for peace alive through interfaith dialogue and compassionate action for justice in the world.
