DESCRIPTION:This basic intensive introduces the fundamentals of Compas
 sionate Listening and our core practices: Cultivating Compassion for o
 urselves and others; Developing the Fair Witness by remaining open in 
 conflict situations; Respecting Self and Others by developing boundari
 es which protect yet include; Listening with the Heart - finding a dee
 per point of connection; and Speaking from the Heart with language whi
 ch reflects a healing intention.\n\nOur practice offers listening as a
  healing process and develops our capacity to feel compassion for the 
 ‘other’, to see ourselves in the ‘other’, and to see the ‘ot
 her’ in ourselves. Many professionals, teachers, parents, counselors
 , coaches, mediators, etc. have found their work greatly enhanced thro
 ugh integrating the practices of Compassionate Listening. Your persona
 l life will be enhanced, with improved relationships with family, frie
 nds and co-workers, helping to bring peace and healing to the world â€

 rticipants take both days, although they can sign up for Day 1 on its
