Gary Gach
Explore the art, meditation, and creative expression of dharma poetry and haiku with renowned poet Gary Gach.
Gary Gach is author of The Complete Idiot's Guide to Buddhism (third edition), editor of What Book!? ~ Buddha Poems from Beat to Hiphop (American Book Award), and translator from Korean of three books by Ko Un. His work has appeared in over a dozen anthologies, and a hundred journals and magazines, including The Atlantic, BuddhaDharma, Harvard Divinity Bulletin, The Nation, The New Yorker, Shambhala Sun, Technicians of the Sacred, Turning Wheel, Urthona, World Haiku Review, and Yoga Journal. He's taught haiku at 826 Valencia, the Asian Art Museum, Beyond Baroque, Gualala Arts, the Randall Museum, Stanford, San Francisco Zen Center, Spirit Rock, Venice Buddhist Temple, and Villa Montalvo Center for the Arts. He currently hosts Haiku Corner online for Tricycle magazine, and hopes to write two or three immortal haiku in his life time.
