Hajj is one of the five pillars of Islam. We want both to honor and celebrate this important part of Islam. Hajj is, of course, about pilgrimage to Mecca; but its roots twine much further back in time than many realize. Sharing the pulpit with Rev. Steven Greenebaum will be Mohammad Fani. It will be a dynamic, enlightening service. I hope you can be there. And please feel free to bring a friend. A good chance, in a warm group, to learn a little bit more about Islam.
Mohammad Fani is Director of the Interfaith Program for OneWorld2011, serves as the program manager at Camp Brotherhood and as the chair of the Interfaith Committee at the Islamic Educational Center of Seattle among many other activities in pursuit of interreligious understanding.
Please join us after the service for our discussion and potluck. Also, please consider bringing a non-perishable food item for the food bank.
