Last year at this time CAN launched the 10 Year Campaign for Compassionate Cities that 4 months later put Seattle on the global map as the first city to affirm the Charter for Compassion.
During the past 8 months much has been done to explore, design and apply compassionate solutions to meet the needs of our families, friends, neighbors and communities. This is a work in progress.
Join us to acknowledge and celebrate what has been started , to share our dreams for the new year and to challenge each other to make 2011 a year of compassion for all.
Following this gathering, everyone is invited to join the annual Walking Meditation for Compassion around Green Lake, with music, song, chant and prayers to enliven our spirits as we greet a new decade!

Comment by Christine Joann Callo on December 31, 2010 at 5:02pm Having been frozen down in Tukwila, I just could not make the drive over yet Compassion and all of you were in my mind during the whole time. And now, I presume some are in the meditation walk @ Greenlake, again am walking alongside under the last (sunny yet freezing) day of 2010.Looking forward to knowing more of you in 2011.
Till the next day,
