Event Description

Mapping Compassionate Seattle!

“We need to know the network to knit the network.”

The Compassionate Action Network (CAN) is launching a project to interview/record community leaders and create a fun and informative interactive map.   This map will feature people, groups and organizations working to create a compassionate region.

The interactive map will be available on-line and on-display at Seattle Center during the Next Fifty, a celebration of the 50th anniversary of the 1962 Seattle World’s Fair.

We are looking for Reporters, Researchers, Editors, and Map Makers interested in conducting interviews and contributing to the first version of this interactive map.

If you are interested in engaging with some of the most inspiring, compassionate leaders in our community please come and find out about this opportunity.  No experience is necessary to participate.  The Compassionate Action Network will provide training and access to equipment for use on this project.

The informational session – with refreshments - will take place on Thursday, July 21 from 5:30 PM to 8:00.

800 Maynard Avenue South (International District) Parking available.

No cost – free will offering/none turned away

We invite you, and others you know, to attend the session. To confirm your attendance please RSVP here.  If you have any questions contact Heidi Bruce at heidigisela76@gmail.com.

My front door is drying so not sure that I will make it.  We have a network map put together by the network weaving team that is nearly ready to show -- so excited!

If I didn't have to teach tonight, I would absolutely be there!!

Hope it goes well!

I can't come to this one since I'm going out of town but am so excited about this map, which will make the revolution that much more visible as well as facilitate collaboration.  Thanks to all involved and I look forward to participating in the future.
