6 PM Intro to Next Step Together and Sociocracy
7-9 PM Implementation Circle
Sociocracy is the smartest, simplest, fairest, funnest, fastest, most familiar way to govern and get along. If a society ever becomes just and sustainable, it will most likely govern itself more or less sociocratically. First we wake and gather the body politic. Then we plan. Then everybody wins. For now, we are waking and gathering. We will act when we have enough folks so everybody wins efficiently.
Meetings:
Thursday, October 8,
Monday, October 19
Tuesday, November 10
Sunday, November 22
We are working towards having Seattle Top Circle meetings where eight people represent the entire Seattle population sociocratically. For now, EVERYONE is invited.
Please bring along, or send, anyone interested in building the movement and democracy. (The bigger their social network, the more people they represent, the better!) Invite the mayor, the governor, your minister, your state rep, your union president, etc.
The first hour will be a quick explanation of what Next Step Together and sociocracy are. The rest of the meeting is planning steps towards creating a better world, starting with Seattle.
Agenda:
~ A Sociocratic Party in America?
~ How to gather Top Circle Reps
~ Trust Matrix survey
~ Seattle Voter Open Data Base $ and plan
~ Seattle’s Next Best Idea Contest
~ Celebrities discussing NST with us on You Tube
~ Your agenda items
~ Getting to know one another
~ Social time (optional snack pot luck)
