Event Description

Come explore the transpartisan possibility of a more productive form of politics and community building… You will meet Joseph McCormick, founder of the Transpartisan Alliance and former Christian Coalition activist and Republican nominee for U.S. Congress.

Are you concerned about the vitriolic nature of political discourse? A growing number of thoughtful citizens have begun to create safe, neutral meeting spaces where ALL sides can convene in authentic conversation about what unites and divides us. Outcomes have included new issue advocacy and/or study groups; follow up meetings to deepen trust, respect and communication across divides; transpartisan email list-serves and conference calls; and surprising new transpartisan issue specific coalitions and alliances.

If you are:
• interested in exploring the transpartisan possibility in our community;
• interested to finding new, unexpected allies for your cause;
• willing to step outside of our political boxes without compromising your firmly held beliefs;
• willing to constructively engage those who think and act differently from you;
• willing to join a growing national network-of-networks with the possibility of changing the rules of the political game;

Then join us! …and help pioneer a more productive and practical approach to politics, problem solving, policy making and community development. The collective challenges we face demand it! Let's explore what we can do in the Puget Sound area.
