Next Step Together Update

We now realize this won't go viral without simplification, communication, and a powerful, creative means of propagation. I'm proposing a game plan:

1) We brainstorm and draw up a storyboard for a short (2-5 minute?) mostly flash video/film about how a political application of sociocracy would work, presenting:
~ a very simple, clear, jargon-less version of sociocracy,
~ the layers of doubled linked circles and how decisions get made in this system,
~ how critical masses of us will gather and plan for and effect change.
John Buck and I are willing to work on the storyboard if someone is willing to commit several thousand dollars towards getting the film made.

2) We get the film made and distribute it as widely as possible.

3) We enroll well known people with followings into NST, interview them, share weekly interviews broadly on You Tube and other places.

4) We build two trusted people data-base/decision making structures (the 16 layer high pyramid of circles):
~A Nominated Structure,
~An Elected Structure, elected from the friend-circles up.
We build the Nominated Structure now, using data from the survey to illustrate what the Elected Structure will look like.

The above are essential, big next steps, and I need your help with them in any way you can: intellectual, financial, creative, critical.

In addition, the following initiatives are also important and in various levels of development:

5) We continue to brainstorm about starting a (large "S") Sociocratic Party.

6) We continue to brainstorm about creating a Monopoly-like board game: Sociocracy as:
~ a learning tool,
~ a fun product, and possibly
~ as a way to actually create a sociocratic world! The winner of the game could be, for example, the first planet to create a sociocratic world order!

7) We continue with two meetings a month at my house Seattle, focused on explaining sociocracy and the working on building a Sociocractic Seattle and a Seattle Top circle (schedule at www.NextStepTogether.Net)

8) We collaborate with and join related organizations, such as the Compassionate Action Network.

9) We create a Contest: America's/Seattle's Next Best Idea!, in which we elicit ideas and judge them sociocratically, giving out prize money for the ideas, as well as money to people to make the ideas happen!

I know most of these projects are large, but, so is the challenge they must meet. We have received a giant combined gift: The vision of a just and sustainable world + the means to achieve it via sociocracy. With this great double gift comes a great responsibility. I hope we will take it seriously, and so do all the billions of potential, but threatened, future generations of life on earth.
