Mt. Tron University of Peace
I'm not sure if any one is aware of the work being done in Norway. There is a University in the midst of building permits and all the fun things required before breaking ground. It will be an international place to teach and promote peace. http://www.tronuni.org/
Eventually the goal is to have like universities in countries worldwide. It is also a vision to have it as a place where the U.N. and others can come and learn about different cultures and walk away with a greater vision of peace.
Thought I'd share this and ask for prayers for this project. Check it out if you get a chance. My friend, Bjorn Pettersen, is heading the project and needs support. There is a contact page on the web site and if you have any prayers or suggestions please feel free to contact him.

Sandy — This is really excellent. And you're quite right — we need to establish such peace institutions world-wide. In the United States, the National Peace Academy has been started at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland. I'd like to see a similar effort here in the Pacific Northwest.

Anne - The Internet is a powerful tool. When used for the power of love, peace, compassion imagine the results! I'm so very happy to be a part of a community whose focus is compassion. Learning to be a presence of peace, compassion, and love, takes so much more strength and courage than to fall into the old habitual ways of being. If someone has signed up for this type of thing I truly envision they must be consciously focusing on bringing out the best of who they are - and that my dear friend excites me!!! - S
