Thanks Anne! Please join the Charter for Compassion Launch group too. Some of the events, in addition to our recent 10/17 Open Space event, are designated pre-Parliament of World's Religions. There may be a thread that connects the local to the global seamlessly.

Dear Mali - wonderful to see this site here and the Sacred Activism work unfolding.
You might enjoy looking at some info on our work in this domain:
Our Jedi Warrior Training Program for the U.S. Army Green Berets - was an incredible piece of sacred activism within the 'belly of the beast' - included a month long silent meditation retreat that left the soldiers asking, "if all this is true - then how could we ever kill anyone...?"
http://www.wisdomatwork.com/BUSINESS/inner/iwwarrior.html
Also in Thailand - we were asked to teach a series of workshops for grass-roots civic leaders, policy makers, and academics on
Fierce Compassion & The Bodhisattva Warrior Spirit: Exploring the Principles & Practices of the Jedi Warrior in the Light of Contemplative Science & The Dhamma - it was an amazing program with many insights to share.
May wisdom and compassion prevail in our lives and world)))
