Information

Spiritual Pathways To Wellness

What is it?  Spiritual Pathways to Wellness (SP2W) is an Online Spiritual Center for cancer and other homebound patients to access Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM) self-care modules (meditation, visualization, yoga breathing, etc.) 24-7.

How? Inside a Coalition of Compassionate Seattle churches, (CAN) organizations, and CAM sponsors (like Bastyr), we will create a self-organizing, self-sustaining, self-service center by donating content, sharing compassionate listening outreach, and prospering in collaboration.

Interested being part of this Collaboration? Call 206-417-3087 or begin contributing to the SP2W discussion right here...

Welcome!

At the Spiritual Pathways To Wellness (SP2W) MAIN web site, a cancer or any homebound Patient needing spiritual self-care in the middle of the night can access Complementary and Alternative medicine (CAM)  modules, inspiring music, videos, remarkable recovery stories. Trained Compassionate listeners/ spiritual coaches can volunteer from member churches and compassionate listening organizations to provide email support on request or phone comfort by appointment.

HOW DO YOU BECOME A MEMBER CHURCH/GROUP?

We vision inviting and accepting as a a SP2W member every spiritual not religious, compassionate organization, group, or  church who agrees to host the MAIN site on their local site.  We invite one major Compassionate Seattle organization that serves cancer and other homebound patients to host the MAIN Web site.  Local Seattle churches and centers that are trans-denominational, interfaith, Spiritual not religious are invited to become a charter member of our Spiritual Pathways to Wellness Compassionate Collaboration.  Email Florence@careBrigade to get a copy of what charter members must agree with.

GENERATE PROSPERITY FOR ALL THROUGH COLLABORATION:

Each Individual charter member church  or Spiritual center will have a co-branded SP2W local pastoral care widget, posted on their site, that will not only provide congregants access to the Main Site but will also link them with the compassionate care offerings of each  local church, as well as a section where local partners can provide spiritual coaches, sell on-the ground seminars, books/tapes/etc,  ask for love offerings,  etc,  The idea is there is "more than enough" of everything (including $$, time and volunteers) if we collaborate..

CONTENT FOR THE SP2W WOULD BE VIRTUALLY FREE,  DONATED BY MANY  CAN CHURCHES, GROUPS,  ETC

The Content for the MAIN SP2W WEB site will be "Organic, Self-Organizing, Effortless, with many, contributing participants."  Many diverse compassionate care organizations, Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM) providers/groups, and churches from many spiritual traditions (with a public commitment to the Charter for Compassion) will upload unlimited  CAM content, in the form of interactive, self-care modules.

All donated content will be reviewed by our CAM partner organization (ex. Bastyr, Saylor Graduate Institute, etc.) to be sure submissions represent credible evidence-based CAM. A second ministerial review would happen to assure "spiritual and not religious' emphasis is honored, even when donated by a relgious organization

Churches and other member organizations will use this "reviewed donated content" to compose a Pathway cluster , themed (inside their spiritual tradition) to fully empower Patients to live every day powerfully and fully {like the last} AND to  live into the possibility of miracles of healing...

Please feel free to add ideas or suggest contributing groups who might like to be part of either

Hi Everyone,

My colleague, a fellow naturopathic doctor and I are offering a 6-week workshop series entitled, Elements of Wellness for Caregivers at the Center for Spiritual Living Center on Sandpoint Way in Seattle starting Jan. 24th, 2013.  It's intended for those in the health and healing professions as well as for the layperson caring for someone in the home.

For registration information, please see the following link http://www.clfmedicine.com/January-Events.html.  If you know of anyone who might benefit from the session, please forward this link on.  We're offering a student rate of $50 for the 6-week series.

Warmest regards,

Johanna
