Hi - I am writing to ask for your support in creating a compassionate world. When I started the Compassionate Action Network I was hoping that social networks could be part of how we activate the will and find a way to make just and lasting change. I am grateful that you joined this network and I sincerely hope that it has made some difference in your life and your community.

It was the action part of compassionate action that got my attention. So now I invite you to be part of taking another step forward together. I ask that you take two minutes to join the 10 Year Campaign for Compassionate Cities if you haven’t already.

We need 1,000 people to join by March 15 to have the Mayor and City Council follow through on their end. If you personally join the campaign and share or send this on to others we will take a big collective step forward in building our capacity to make change happen. This is not just another petition, what you do will make a difference. You can learn more about this here

You don’t need to be a Seattle resident to join this campaign, and this idea is spreading. Campaigns have started or are starting in Vancouver, BC, Bellingham, Bellevue, Issaquah, Spokane, Portland, San Francisco, and London.

If there ever was a time to stand together and affirm that what each of us does and does not do makes a difference it is now. I ask that you find the time to add your name to the growing list of people awakening compassion in our cities and our world. Join here now

Andy, this is really great. Bravo. Thanks for what you did to have these two resources fit well together. CAN and MyCAN makes sense to me. I bet we'll discover other ways to link them as we move along, e.g. CAN could use RSS to receive a feed of events from MyCAN. I am interested in learning what we have to do to gain peoples commitment to participate and offer give them a simple and powerful way to enage. Here's to a bright and compassionate future.

Hi Andy -- we missed you at the summit. We set this site up to stay connected after the summit. I think it will be useful to see what kinds of social networking resources are useful. We tried to do the color and image to fit with the CAN site you set up. It would be great to hear your voice here.
