People are Talking

At Sunday's wonderful and uplifting "All my Relations" event at St Patrick's Church, Silver Song ended the ceremony

with the following:

"People are talking about CAN. You may not know this, but in our native communities, people are really talking about CAN and the work that it is doing and will do."

I really appreciated Silver Song's comments as it made me think of all of the unseen ways in which true compassionate work touches people's lives. Even the smallest of… Continue

Hi Anil, I met you during the Seeds events and after.  I am involved in an interfaith group called FIRE (Fostering Interfaith Relationships on the Eastside).  We had a picnic today honoring the International Day of Peace.  We are interested in collaborating with CAN and finding more about what CAN does.  Could you or someone else from CAN come talk to us at one of our upcoming monthly meetings?  Maybe Nov. 5 or Dec. 3 at 12:15 in Kirkland?  Please forward this request to anyone else you think might be interested.

Hi - I am writing to ask for your support in creating a compassionate world. When I started the Compassionate Action Network I was hoping that social networks could be part of how we activate the will and find a way to make just and lasting change. I am grateful that you joined this network and I sincerely hope that it has made some difference in your life and your community.

It was the action part of compassionate action that got my attention. So now I invite you to be part of taking another step forward together. I ask that you take two minutes to join the 10 Year Campaign for Compassionate Cities if you haven’t already.

We need 1,000 people to join by March 15 to have the Mayor and City Council follow through on their end. If you personally join the campaign and share or send this on to others we will take a big collective step forward in building our capacity to make change happen. This is not just another petition, what you do will make a difference. You can learn more about this here

You don’t need to be a Seattle resident to join this campaign, and this idea is spreading. Campaigns have started or are starting in Vancouver, BC, Bellingham, Bellevue, Issaquah, Spokane, Portland, San Francisco, and London.

If there ever was a time to stand together and affirm that what each of us does and does not do makes a difference it is now. I ask that you find the time to add your name to the growing list of people awakening compassion in our cities and our world. Join here now

Anil - After almost of year of using the CAN site, I must say that I can't help but smile when I see your CAN photo in the list of members on the home page. The image has a quality that I haven't been able to define. Impishness perhaps?

Hi Anil -- Good morning. I hope you're feeling better. it would be great for you to add your voice to the site. There a few ways to do that. You can author a blog post. We are encouraging those who hosted dynamic dialogs to put their notes into the form section so others can read and reply continue the conversation. Also any help on moving forward on getting some video clips would be very much appreciated.
