Real Wealth in a caring economy means money and resources for caring economy companies. It does not mean handouts for caring economy companies in a domination, material only economy.

The team at Social Thought Matters and I are working to create a Caring Economy Company and to refine our design of the product, revenue, financial, human resources, technological, accounting and process models to enable such a company.

I believe that until we have a global caring economy (which may not happen in our lifetimes) that it will be necessary to create a HYBRID model.

The HYBRID model would be a ‘social wealth generating’ and/or a ‘natural wealth generating’ and ‘material wealth generating’ company - one that within its own balance sheet actively facilitates the transfer of social and/or natural wealth to the material wealth sector and material wealth from the material sector to the social or natural sector. Thus creating within its own ecosystem a microcosm of what the Real Wealth of Nations is, I think, all about.

Hi - I am writing to ask for your support in creating a compassionate world. When I started the Compassionate Action Network I was hoping that social networks could be part of how we activate the will and find a way to make just and lasting change. I am grateful that you joined this network and I sincerely hope that it has made some difference in your life and your community.

It was the action part of compassionate action that got my attention. So now I invite you to be part of taking another step forward together. I ask that you take two minutes to join the 10 Year Campaign for Compassionate Cities if you haven’t already.

We need 1,000 people to join by March 15 to have the Mayor and City Council follow through on their end. If you personally join the campaign and share or send this on to others we will take a big collective step forward in building our capacity to make change happen. This is not just another petition, what you do will make a difference. You can learn more about this here

You don’t need to be a Seattle resident to join this campaign, and this idea is spreading. Campaigns have started or are starting in Vancouver, BC, Bellingham, Bellevue, Issaquah, Spokane, Portland, San Francisco, and London.

If there ever was a time to stand together and affirm that what each of us does and does not do makes a difference it is now. I ask that you find the time to add your name to the growing list of people awakening compassion in our cities and our world. Join here now
