I have asked to be made use of in transcription as a service to Nalandabodhi. Actually, I
have a lot more to offer than that.

Well, here comes the ego.

I have commercially written and formatted documents in excess of 400 pages and brought
them to print, books. for over thirty years.

I also worked as a printer for several years. I have experience and expertise with the
whole process; editing, graphics, formatting into a version that can go directly to the
printer's computer automatic typesetting equipment and result in a book, in addition to
negotiating with the printer.

This is something I can and have done. I put my abilities at the disposal of Rinpoche, who has read some of the things I have written, had this to say to me:

"Dear John,

I want to thank you very much for all of the e-mails and materials that you have shared with me, and also for taking the time to review my book, Penetrating Wisdom.

It is wonderful to hear that you are doing well and keeping up with your excellent work of writing. I myself am also trying to work on a couple of new books. If you are interested in helping me in this endeavor with your excellent skills, it would make a big difference."

I have completed Karmapa's ngondro, am retired and have all the time in the world to devote to this.

Please allow me to be of service.

John — I just noticed that you've joined us here on the Compassionate Action Network. Welcome. How wonderful to have you with us. If you haven't done so already, please consider joining the Ten Year Campaign for Compassionate Cities. I'd love to see you become a part of this important and rewarding initiative. If we get the support of at least 1,000 people by March 15, 2010, then the City of Seattle will affirm the Charter for Compassion — a first step in connecting people for compassionate action. My understanding is that you don't have to be from Seattle to sign on. Right now, we need 456 more signatures to reach that goal. Please take just a moment to add your name.

Also, I posted a wonderful music video from Amnesty International — "The Price of Silence." It's well worth viewing.
