Hi - I am writing to ask for your support in creating a compassionate world. When I started the Compassionate Action Network I was hoping that social networks could be part of how we activate the will and find a way to make just and lasting change. I am grateful that you joined this network and I sincerely hope that it has made some difference in your life and your community.

It was the action part of compassionate action that got my attention. So now I invite you to be part of taking another step forward together. I ask that you take two minutes to join the 10 Year Campaign for Compassionate Cities if you haven’t already.

We need 1,000 people to join by March 15 to have the Mayor and City Council follow through on their end. If you personally join the campaign and share or send this on to others we will take a big collective step forward in building our capacity to make change happen. This is not just another petition, what you do will make a difference. You can learn more about this here

You don’t need to be a Seattle resident to join this campaign, and this idea is spreading. Campaigns have started or are starting in Vancouver, BC, Bellingham, Bellevue, Issaquah, Spokane, Portland, San Francisco, and London.

If there ever was a time to stand together and affirm that what each of us does and does not do makes a difference it is now. I ask that you find the time to add your name to the growing list of people awakening compassion in our cities and our world. Join here now

Karen,

Always delighted when our paths cross, and a pleasure to see you! I kept looking up at the bright stars and the prayer flags and thinking how they festooned and beaconed us welcome into the space. They so added to the esthetic beauty and magic of the gathering. Thanks for that special trademark touch that you bring. So glad we now have a way of staying connected.

Much love,

Candi

Thanks Karen. It was nice to reconnect. I am enjoying expanding and deepening my networks. The CAN gathering was a wonderful day - a reunion for renewal, inspiration, and celebration. I'm glad your work continues to flourish. I look forward to more conversations.

Take care.

KAREN, the pleasure of meeting was mine, too.

I was glad to hear again that David Weinstock's and your "yogas" are joining; we have had enough of separation. David is an inspiration -- a breath in. I look forward to meeting all of you in Seattle before long. I'm checking AVP folks in the area to hear whether there may be interest in the "Aiki-AVP" that I developed with friends in the 1980's. If there is, I may be able to afford a ticket sooner rather than later.

Karen,

Yes, I look forward to learning more about yoga and organizational strategic planning and development. I have a public administration background and sees a rich minefield of integrating certain spiritual principles in reengineering and leadership development. I am sure our paths shall cross again. Until then. . .

Greetings Karen,

Fully delighted to be with you in the space of the Compassion Action Network celebration. Would love to spend some more time, and I see how my own values have been divisional. I am ready for more openings, spaces where time is carefree and simple. Great to hear about new dimensions of your work, being more integrative. With grace, love and good cheer, Scott

Hello Karen - I believe we met during the "corporate soul" conversation at open space. event, and I think we both read the same book about the NO @#%#% Rule. I simply wanted to say that I appreciated your perspective. Regards. Leslie

My thought is what each city town village needs is a compassionate cafe...I get a sense there are many of these Cafes within the San Juans...
