For the last 17 years, I have been taking annual trips to Orthopaedic and Oncological Hospitals in Kyiv (Kiev) Ukraine. I bring toys, books and pajamas to children who are sick and I also help the children who are learning either French or English as teachers are not available to help these children who miss out on schoolwork due to their illnesses. Their hospital stays are difficult as the children are often away from school for weeks and sometimes months at a time.
