South Seattle has suffered greatly from continuing violence - partly as a result of being under-served in all ways and over-burdened with low income housing which brings many poor people without means of supporting local businesses. Compassionate Seattle is partnering with SE Seattle neighbors to plan a day to meet in Rainier Beach and help several businesses by painting out entire walls and applying special anti-graffiti coating. After working, we’ll gather for refreshment, celebration and conversation - listening to our SE neighbors to gain deeper understanding of their frustrations and challenges - and discovering ongoing ways to connect and support.
