"Dinner, factory processed foods or local organic? That little bit is as important as the dialogue. It is a part of the the economic system that these fundraisers are reliant on. Ironic as these attempts to patch the wounds that religious us/them has…"

"In June billionaire Bill Gates encouraged lawmakers to raise public subsidies for clean-tech R&D funding to $16 billion annually. Gates explained that much of what is called free-market innovation was helped by government subsidies: "The…"

Ruth Williams replied to deborah's discussion 'connundrum' in the group Prayables
"This is a great post, sure to start dialogue! I love the open mind and heart that comes through your words. While I don't think old faiths need to completely give way for true conscious evolution to grow, I do see your point. We share an…"

connundrum

I am posting this with respect for the faith of others but am torn. These old theologies need to give way for true conscious evolution to grow. Other directed (as by doctrines and dogma, priests and holy leaders) has been the source of religious conflicts as power and populations created friction. Personal faith can be amazing (mine is derived from a weave of multiple theologies and science) and yet the collaborative action as in "praying" together is truly powerful (as in creating critical…See More

Topics Related to Compassion:
I am into transforming the fashion industry. This has taken me from image and lifestyle promo to crop issues, from fair trade /no sweats, to transport and waste, production and toxic chemicals, to social and economic reform possibilities.

In caring for the environment we are caring for human health, it’s parallel healing. When we clean up our act, in the mental, physical and spiritual, we grow in health.

The sustainable movement brought me to whole thinking. Whole thinking understands that all disciplines are connected, bio and emo relationships are connected, all humans, all life, the planet is all connected, it’s an integrated one.

Compassion is all over this healing. It’s about understanding why we came to this "now" and how to change the course in order to align with what we now know.

Compassion means to forgive our megawatt trespasses, to heal and to act in order to bring about a new reality, a reality that aligns with today’s knowledge, so tomorrow we will be a better species, viva la’evolucion!. It’s simply elegant.
