In our Sports Coaching Project, Jens Lehmann and a team of experts will teach our Fellows how to use sports coaching to engage young people and help them to build their confidence, learn to work in a team or even work towards overcoming divisions between different groups in their society. Starting April 2012, the Fellows will learn how to coach children and teenagers and how to get their own youth sports project off the ground. The learnings will include training methods, communication skills and team management. The Sports Coaching Project in Hamburg will culminate in the organization of a soccer tournament with youth groups, organized and coached by the Fellows.
During the project the Fellows will benefit from the DreamLab, which is a series of workshops and skill sessions covering values such as passion and courage and includes essential skills like budgeting and presentation skills, taught by inspiring speakers from a variety of fields – from artists to entrepreneurs!
After the two months in Hamburg, the Fellows will return to their home countries and over the following ten months organize a sports event or youth sports initiative of their own with the support of the Dekeyser&Friends Foundation. For more information visit our website!
The Dekeyser&Friends Foundation was founded in 2009 by entrepreneur Bobby Dekeyser and Florian Hoffmann and has its seat in Geneva, Switzerland. The Foundation established the Inspiration Academy which runs innovative educational projects in Hamburg and around the world in the fields of culture, social work, sports and many others for young people aged 18 to 28. In the projects, our Fellows work and learn from experienced mentors. The Foundation aims to encourage and help every Fellow to follow his or her own dream in life and become an agent for positive change in his or her society.
