Join the DLC in support of the Charter for Compassion

NOVEMBER 2, 2009 - The Dalai Lama Center for Peace and Education is pleased to announce that it has become a partner of the Charter for Compassion.

On February 28, 2008 Karen Armstrong won the TED Prize and made
a wish: for help creating, launching and propagating a Charter for Compassion. Since that day, thousands of people have contributed to the process of creating the Charter and on November 12, 2009 the Charter will be unveiled to the world from Washington, DC. Karen Armstrong spoke passionately about the Charter at the Vancouver Peace Summit on September 27, 2009. This TED and Fetzer Institute sponsored presentation took place during the Summit event "Nobel Laureates in Dialogue: Connecting for Peace. (more)
