Velcrow Ripper is coming to Salt Lake as a keynote for our conference (Living in the Fire of Change) and to do a Friday, Dec. 11th Screening of his amazing film,
FIERCE LIGHT: When Spirit Meets Action. It's a film about
truth in the media, about activism that comes from the human spirit. It features a piece about the community gardens in East LA, where community came together to rebuild the place where Rodney King had been beaten. It also shows the devastation and rebirth that happens when we stick with our truth, our hearts, and work together and believe enough in something to never quit.
Velcrow is an incredible human being and certainly is getting recognition and press of his own, as he travels globally to share his work and to offer a workshop on taking action from the heart. He has recently been recognized and promoted by YES! Magazine and has stellar reviews wherever he seems to go. I would love to help coordinate a possible interview for you with him if you are interested.
He will be appearing Friday night, Dec. 11th, to introduce his film FIERCE LIGHT at Living in the Fire of Change, held at the Salt Palace, doors at 6pm, film at 8pm with reception leading up to film. He is speaking on Saturday Dec. 12th during the conference itself (same venue), and then will lead his own
Shine Your Fierce Light Workshop, Sunday Dec. 13th at the UU, 1-5pm.
