Compassionate Seattle

The 23rd installment of concepts on compassion from the populace of Davis, California USA:

To be open to the idea of caring for another person or peoples' position in life. To realize and act on the fact that everyone has struggles and that no one should be alone in thrie hardships.

La compassion est de supporter inentalement(sp) les personnes qui en ont besoin.

I feel compassion is the sharing of the universes energy with one another.

Compassion is understanding someone else's perspective and trying to see it even when you've seen them for four years downtown.

Compassion: Non-judgment of others with added bonus of tangible manifestation in unconditional support.

Compassion is being aware that the need within yourself matches that of every other living being--the need to be loved and have love.

Having enough love to spill over...

Seeing the need in the eyes of a person and making the stop to meet it.

you're welcome. and yes, the response refers to me, though i think she got the number of years incorrect--only been in davis for a couple years. met emiliana before her presentation at the compassion research day at facebook last wednesday. able to give her and joel from CCARE a copy of the compilation book. great to network with them. will be connecting with a radio show friend of hers who wants to come to davis and record some responses. will let you know how it goes.

As always, thanks David! it's great to see the variety of lovely responses that is still flowering. Was the following comment referring to you? "Compassion is understanding someone else's perspective and trying to see it even when you've seen them for four years downtown."

Happy Holidays! Btw, I heard Emiliana Simon-Thomas refer to you during the Compassionate Research Day webcast at Facebook last week. : )
