Compassionate Seattle

Alas, the 30th installment from people who shared at the corner of 3rd & C in Davis, California--

Compassion is driven by norms of human interaction. Those norms should be instructed by rules created by Rousseau's unknowing man as per his ideal of the social contract.

Compassion is a concept that we use to access certain aspects of the world. In a way it is like a representational mapping of our inner self; a way to bring us close to the world around us, and help us find meaning as we transverse through life. Compassion makes us humane!

Loving and being loved by your kids. :)

Extending your feelings of love and empathy beyond the bounds of the self to encompass not only those near and dear, but also those a world away who are nonetheless part of the human family.

Compassion: the moral compass that drives humanity to be passionate about the feelings/thoughts of those around them.

Compassion: looking at people for who they are and where they are in their personal growth and accepting them in that place.

That which keeps us from chaos.

An action that allows oneself to be vulnerable, while still empathizing with another living thing. An understanding which comes through extreme openness.

Acting as if the God in all things matters.

Listening--the most important thing is to make sure people are heard.

To know who you are truly created to be. And understand you were created for love and to have eternal fellowship with God.

Putting others' needs before your own to share happiness, sadness and the spectrums of emotions in between. A true example of love.
