The Charter for Compassion team invites you to host a screening of "The Happy Movie" on February 11, 2012. This thoughtful and funny film was produced by Tom Shadeyac, who made "Bruce Almighty" with Jim Carrey and other top films.
The film shows the important link between happiness and compassion. It's a great one to show in schools or at your local library.
Watch the preview and visit the website at http://www.worldhappyday.com to find or host a screening. It could spark a revolution in our communities. Feel free to post questions and comments below. Thanks!

Comment by John Malcomson on February 10, 2012 at 1:32pm Keep an eye out for screenings in your community! Buy a copy of this wonderful film and spread the happiness. Watched this earlier this week and it shows the huge capacity of humans to heal. Learn how happiness is not material possessions (though food and shelter is absolutely needed), but actually the joy that comes from healing, gratitude, and helping others!

Comment by John Malcomson on January 12, 2012 at 5:01pm Dear Pam,
If I find a location you are welcome to help my wife and I organize it. I am not clear that Pacific Place would have an opportunity for Seattle Happiness Initiative, CAN-Compassionate Seattle, or Yes! Magazine to possibly have a table.
Comment by PamKM on January 11, 2012 at 12:42pm Thanks John. I had a fantasy of renting a theater at the Majestic Bay in Ballard and inviting the community to attend for free but don't have the bandwidth. I plan to simplify things and go to the Pacific Place event though. Maybe I'll see you there?
Kind Regards,
PamKM

Comment by John Malcomson on January 9, 2012 at 5:06pm is anyone interested in hosting a screening? It is being screened at Pacific Place at 11:00 AM on 2/11. If someone has a location and would be interested in helping arrange the logistics, I would like to help.
CAN International Institute supports compassionate initiatives in cities, towns, counties, states and provinces, regions, nations, universities, faith groups, schools, service groups, and other places where human beings gather.
