The Diving Bell and the Butterfly is a powerful true movie that shows what it's like to basically be a quadriplegic from the inside of the character. The main character was a Parisian fashion editor (I think) who also had a stroke and could only communicate through blinking. In fact, he wrote an entire book by blining that led to the movie with the same name. Someone sat with him and read the alphabet over and over again until the letter he wanted to use was said and then he would blink twice to denote which letter to use. He wrote a whole book this way! Amazing.
